ResponsibilitiesAs the Desktop Publisher you will work with multiple products including; program, training materials, documentations and course materials, supporting complex TALOS solutions development. The Desktop Publisher should be both creative and capable of understanding the TALOS solution being developed and be able to effectively communicate these solutions to the customers resources in the way of training materials. The Desktop Publisher should be able to utilize existing processes, in addition to devising creative ways of conceptualizing TALOS solutions, and have an eye for detail. You will work with solution architects, technical experts, graphic designers, and writers to build extremally effective training materials. Youll be the primary lead for finalizing the formatting and presentation of our training and course materials. You will be a key member, ensuring our deliverables are compliant and assisting the training and outreach teams with ensuring we meet training and delivery milestones by meeting or exceeding customer due dates and schedules. The Desktop Publisher must have strong interpersonal skills, be extremely organized, and be willing to do research to understand complex technical solutions. This individual is a team player motivated to support the other capabilities of the program.Specific tasks that the Desktop Publisher will ensure is accomplished, either online or as instructor-led opportunities, includes:Assist in developing and maintaining a Technical Training CurriculumsProvide production support (i.e., printing, binding, and packaging of hardcopies and electronic media)Ensure correct version control and file namingProvide desktop application support (e.g., file conversions, scanning, OCR, graphics importing, and document breakout/assembly)Strive to continuously improve the quality of your work as well as our internal processes to contribute to the overall success of the Program. Stay current with industry best practices and share with your coworkers to help improve everyones skillsAssist in developing training to ensure end users of DIA systems understand how to use DIA Products.Assist in developing media such as training and educational videos in concert with product releases.Provide some subject matter expertise when possible for the operational outreach training.Assist in developing, sustain, update DIAs product library to ensure all training is applicable to current production environment.Work with the program to provide an innovative approach and cost avoidance. QualificationsRequired Qualifications:A minimum of TS security clearance with SCI eligibility. Bachelor's w/ 00-02 yrs. experience, Or related equivalent experience w/o a degreeKnowledge of one or more; InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Professional, Print Production and its technologies including hardware, software and color management and calibration.Knowledge of PowerPoint and ability to create visual concepts a must Knowledge on how to develop a well-balanced, well-aligned graphics with consistent spacing, style, and format, correct spelling, and adherence to a consistent style. Knowledge on how to create, draw, maintain, processes and archives diagrams and detailed illustrations for print or online technical documentation from sketches, photos, actual parts and ideas Ability to work iteratively during solution sessions. Ability to incorporates feedback from reviewers to improve initial draft concepts DIA systems experience [e.g., Machine-Assisted Analytic Rapid-Repository System (MARS), Generic Area Limitations Environment (GALE), Functional Intelligence System of Hierarchical Networks (FISHNet), FounDRI, Event Data, Defense Economics Database, Object Based Production (OBP), Activity Based Intelligence (ABI), IC Information Technology Enterprise (ICITE)].Desired Qualifications: STEM Masters degree (e.g., computer science, management information systems, systems engineering). Professional Certification(s) [e.g., DoD Instructional Systems Design Professional Certification] Experience using Agile systems implementation methodologies.
